Welcome to our website. Fit-For was started in 2004 by ex-pro racer John Ibbotson and world class triathlete Stephen Bayliss.
Fit-For was set up to be a coaching company like no other, its aim to provide coaching to a high standard that was accessible to all. Whether an aspiring racer or first timer who wanted to make the most of their potential and have some fun along the way. Which is why we all ride in the first place..........right?
Sadly, John passed away suddenly on 27th September 2005 and left a fantastic legacy but a hole too large to fill. It was decided that the coaching service which had already given countless clients some fantastic results simply could not be maintained and as such is no longer provided.
As a mark of respect and because of our love for John, his family members and many existing Fit-For clients want to keep the spirit of John's dream alive. This will be achieved by making Fit-For into a club , but a club with a difference.
We aim to grow the membership slowly and carefully over the coming years, aiming to create a sense of camaraderie that is part of the very core of Fit-For. Not an exclusive club as such, but simply one where each member is asked what they can do for the club and not the other way around.
Fit-For will aim to have successful seasons in years to come and hope that all the existing members fulfil their ambitions with a little help. Things will never be the same without John but his spirit lives on in all of us. Our love of cake, the capacity to drink endless cups of coffee, the ability to spend as much time talking about cycling as doing it, of having fun, of not taking ourselves too seriously, a slightly demented sense of humour, bringing newcomers into the sport, oh yes, and of course............riding a bike!
Fit-For is not just aimed at the racer and will be looking to help all members achieve their goals whatever they maybe. We hope that every member of Fit-For can play a part in helping someone else achieve theirs.
